 The History Of Field's Car Centre

Richard and Michael Field started the business over thirty years ago,   working from a small workshop in Guildford, Surrey. The word soon spread that a small garage workshop called 'Field Brothers' was offering quality, trustworthy, car servicing and repairs at very fair prices.

The result was that the business soon grew. New premises were found in Woking and extra staff members added to cope with the increasing work.

In 1984 the business moved to Central Garage in St Johns, Woking. It was here that the business really took off with Car Sales being introduced.

Within six years the premises had become too cramped for the amount of work now coming in. So larger premises were once again sought and in 1991 Field Brothers moved to Goldsworth Road, Woking, where a change in name to 'Field's Car Centre' was made to reflect the growing nature of the business.

After extensive refurbishing, a six bay workshop with an MOT Station and Fast Fit Tyre/Exhaust bays was up and running. Further new staff joined as the business grew. In July 1995 their achievements were recognized by winning the Autotrade 'Independent Garage Of The Year' Award.

In 2005 they were runners up in the MotorTrader 'Garage of the Year' and 'Excellence in Customer Care' Awards - a truly excellent achievement. Their customer service, attention to detail, hard work and the dedication of staff had brought sustained rewards.
